I have always like Urban Decay for their bold colors and cute packaging, not to mention their great eyeshadow palettes that comes out regularly. If you remember I did reviews on Urban Decay Deluxe Palette and I really do love it.
Now, this would be my 2nd palette from Urban Decay and I ordered this at Sephora.com using Sephora Gift Certificate that was handed out for the Beauty Insider last week. I noticed this Get Baked Palette was on sale, the regular price was $28 and it went down to $18. I had $15 Gift Certificate and was able to found a free shipping code from Retailmenot so all & all I ended up only paying less than $4 for this. Isn't it a steal?
Well, I know I don't need another eyeshadow palette but I figured this palette comes with a travel size Sin Primer Potion & 24/7 Liner in Bourbon.
Packaging
It comes in cardboard box with magnetized opening. The eyeliner was included inside the palette. I personally like the design, it reminds me of BATIK.
Color & Pigmentation
Get Baked Palette contains of 4 colors: 1 teal color called Flipside, and 3 bronzes called Half Baked, Baked and Twice Baked. All of them are shimmery, but Twice Baked can be considered as a "low shimmer". They are all pigmented and very versatile. I believe this palette came during Summer and I can see why, the bronzes reminds me of sand & glowing skin and the teal color play a nice twist like an ocean color.
Swatch
The first swatch was done with no base whatsoever, so you can see the true color payoff. I must say, impressive.
Then I used NYX Blackbean Jumbo Pencil as a base to see how the colors would turn out. As you can see they became more vibrant with a black base although I don't think Baked changed as much.
Looks
*UDPP Sin
*Half Baked (inner corner & tear duct)
*Flipside (middle lid)
*Twice Baked (outer corner & crease)
*Baked (lower lash line)

NOTD: Konad !
Finally I'm trying on Konad.
First time I heard about Konad I was cracking up because of the name.............KONAD. lol.
Doesn't it make you think dirty? ...........no? maybe it's just me then >.<
*cough* Anyway, I made an order from WowSoCool, using "nailphile" code to get 30% off. The processing time is fast, got shipping notification practically the next day & they arrived within 3 days.
The shipping is free Worldwide for $20 minimum purchase so I ordered the stamp & scraper kit, 3 plates and 1 White special polish. I know you don't need to get special polish to make it work but I wanted to make comparison so I went ahead and get one anyway.
I am trying out the musical notes from Plate m73, I have to say my first trial FAILED MISERABLY lol. For some reason I was having a hard time getting the polish quick enough to transfer to the stamper. I practiced couple of times and the results you see is probably the most decent one. I know.....sad, right? xD well, I didn't expect it to turn out amazing on first try anyway, so I'll keep practicing hahaha

*my sister asked me what Ulzzang means so I took this picture to show her. Of course I don't do the crazy eyeliner thing because I think my eyes are already scarily big. Remind you, I don't normally don't do cutesy stuff so this is considered a gold dust =P*
So here's me, a Konad virgin supporting Ulzzang look.

Product Focus: Guerlain Divinora Radiant Colour Palette
I did a swap with my lovely virtual friend Lara who lives in Malta. I sent her some of yummy smelling goodies and she sent me a couple of gorgeous European brand makeups.
The awesome looking quad on the left is by Guerlain. I know Guerlain is one of the oldest perfume house in the world and it's based in France.
This palette is called Divinora Radiant Colour and the one I got is in Touche de Bronze.
I can't stop staring at the gold plated packaging, it's very pretty. The case is very sturdy, and there's a "Guerlain" carved in the middle bottom part of the opening.
Packaging
logo, brand and palette name.
Color
This palette contains of 4 colors and they're all very interesting. The "bronze" isn't really warm based bronze but instead it has an olive tint. I absolutely love these and I can see wearing them a lot in the future since they're pretty subdued.
Pigmentation & Swatches

The 4 colors are varied in terms of finish, the lightest & darkest color has more shimmer (and harder in texture) whereas the other two looks more matte and softer.
They're very pigmented and easily buildable. I really like the darkest greyish dark olive because it has the coolest sparkle and it would look awesome for outer V or even as a liner.
Swatches can be found below.
This is sold retail for $56 and you can find it at Sephora here.

I love Neutrals, Awards & Babies !
If you noticed I've been doing a lot of FOTD nowadays, well that's because I haven't actually hauled anything =D so I gotta make up with something, right? Here's the one I did yesterday when I was out to drop off my mom to the airport.
I'm keeping the eyes neutral coz there's no need to look bright & intense, besides the older I get the softer I'd prefer my eyes to be...lol idk why, it just happened ok? Tho I added a blue liner on my lower lashline to brighten up brown eyes and it worked like a charm for my tired eyes too.
For face, again I'm keeping it simple with my new favorite mineral foundation, Pure Anada in Niagara Fawn shade which offers great coverage, so great I hardly use concealer anymore. A soft bronzer to contour and peach blush were used on cheeks.

EG Minerals Facial Primer Gel
Pure Anada Niagara Fawn Foundation
Thevi Mocha Mineral Powder *to contour*
La Femme Golden Sunset Blush
NYX Nude e/s (all over the lid)
Kat Von D Lucifer e/s (upper lash line)
Rimmel White Eyeliner (waterline)
NYC Blue Eyeliner (lower lash line)
CG Lashblast Mascara
L'oreal HiP Reserved Liquid Lipcolor

thanks, Ai.....it's always nice getting these from someone I know as a person because you know it's a genuine appreciation, or at least I hoped so hahahaha (jk). I'm glad you reactivated your beauty blog again, although that means you're getting more broke with new lemmings. I'll always be your greatest enabler.....don't forget that ^^.
Oh when I was at the mall, my mom & I met her friends with her baby and her nephew and they are SUPER CUTEEEEEEEEEEEE. Her son is 5 months old and he's so chubby, I had hard time keeping him in my arms coz he's very heavy. What's funny is that his face expression always looks angry, but he was actually sleepy =P

Sister's Prom & Recent FOTD
Whewww, all apologies for the lack of update but I've been pretty busy at home and been sleeping a lot lol not really a jet lag since it's been more than a week now. So here's another update, last night my sister, Amy, had her Prom so she asked me to do her makeup.
The theme is "Night in Paris" or something like that (lol) so I bought her this dress from Wet Seal, I thought it'd look cute on her. I also lend her my hat since it's "Paris"-y and it matches her hair really well. It wasn't hard doing Amy's hair because she wants it casual and the hat does all the magic. I just blow dried it & styled a little.
For her makeup I applied mineral makeup foundation and a darker foundation to contour her cheek. For blush I chose a soft mulberry color which gives her a healthy flush & use High Def.Powder from EG Minerals for finishing powder (makes her look poreless on pictures).
with the eye makeup lol
I think she looks cute (lol, no i'm not praising myself) but the most important thing is she was very happy on how everything's turned out & she had a blast. At the end of the night I still couldn't believe I just saw my baby sister going to her prom, time does fly, ladies & gentlement.
Here are some bonus pictures from when I just arrived and some dining out =P

my friends came to see me @ the airport!! Ai's there too hahaha
Excuse my after-16 hours flight zombie-like face.
