NOTD: Konad !
Finally I'm trying on Konad.
First time I heard about Konad I was cracking up because of the name.............KONAD. lol.
Doesn't it make you think dirty? ...........no? maybe it's just me then >.<
*cough* Anyway, I made an order from WowSoCool, using "nailphile" code to get 30% off. The processing time is fast, got shipping notification practically the next day & they arrived within 3 days.
The shipping is free Worldwide for $20 minimum purchase so I ordered the stamp & scraper kit, 3 plates and 1 White special polish. I know you don't need to get special polish to make it work but I wanted to make comparison so I went ahead and get one anyway.
I am trying out the musical notes from Plate m73, I have to say my first trial FAILED MISERABLY lol. For some reason I was having a hard time getting the polish quick enough to transfer to the stamper. I practiced couple of times and the results you see is probably the most decent one. I know.....sad, right? xD well, I didn't expect it to turn out amazing on first try anyway, so I'll keep practicing hahaha

*my sister asked me what Ulzzang means so I took this picture to show her. Of course I don't do the crazy eyeliner thing because I think my eyes are already scarily big. Remind you, I don't normally don't do cutesy stuff so this is considered a gold dust =P*
So here's me, a Konad virgin supporting Ulzzang look.

Quick Makeup Tips & Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Review
What's used above
- EG Mineral Face Primer
- Pure Ananda Niagara Fawn Foundation
- Thevi Rogue Blush
- NYX Rootbeer e/s (on crease)
- Thevi Onyx Pencil Eyeliner
- Maybelline Totally Toffee Lipstick
My personal tips & tricks for a quick 'awakening' (hahaha!) :
- Apply moisturizer before putting on anything on your face, no matter what. A dry flakey skin isn't hot.
- If you're lazy putting on foundation, skip it. Use concealer to hide imperfection.
- Wear a blush! Applying it on your cheek's apple will make you look flushed & healthy. If you don't have blush around, use your pink lipstick & blend around. If you don't have lipstick either, pinch your cheeks for couple of seconds.
- No time for eyeshadows? Just curl your eyelashes & apply black eyeliner in you waterline to accentuate your eyes.
- Skip lipstick & apply lipgloss instead.
The color is called Totally Toffee #215. I am in love with this color because it suits my undertone really well, not too pinky nor nude, just about right. The consistency is also great, it applies like a dream, smooth & moisturizing. It does have a slight rose scent but not too overpowering. I was able to snatch it while my drugstore was having 40% off for Maybelline brand so I got this lippy for about $4. Check out your local store & see if you like this line, I know I do.

If you read my last FOTD post, you must have noticed I've been wearing Pure Anada Mineral Foundation. I tested out this mineral company back in 2007 when I was just starting out with minerals. I found this Canada-based mineral company to be ethnic-friendly, meaning they have various shades and skin tones available to women with colors. Candace, the owner of Pure Anada is a total sweetheart. I was having problems finding my shade and she helped me through & through. I sent her my shade with other foundation via post and she mailed me back the exact shade of Pure Anada Mineral Foundation full size, to try out.
Unfortunately I was being too excited trying all different kinds of MMU and had forgotten about Pure Anada. Not until recently I fell in love again with the perfect shade & coverage I want, and my skin has been loving the finish and how it captures in picture.
My shade is "Niagara Fawn", an Olive undertone.
I wasn't paid doing this review but merely an excitement of finding a 'new' old love.

FOTD: Sonia Kashuk Neutral Palette
Hello my beautiful people,
Last weekend a good friend of mine, Windy, who now lives in Singapore came back to Jakarta. We haven't seen each other for almost 2 years so I was super excited to see her. Windy's older sister, Cindy, is getting married and she asked me if I could help her to pick some of items she needed for wedding makeup.
We met up at Plaza Senayan, Ai also came along, but I wasn't feeling so well that day and woke up late lol. I joined them after lunch and we went straight to Metro & Sogo to look for makeups. Cindy needed a foundation and I suggested her Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation which will stay longer, especially for wedding & photo shoot. She has super clear skin (i'm so jealous T_T) so no extra concealer needed.
I chose Oily/Combination formula in Nude shade for her and it seemed to match her face & neck the best. Here are pictures I took right after I applied it on her half of the face, I think it's necessary to take a picture when choosing a foundation because it's important not to look like you're wearing a mask when you have your pics taken, right?
*natural light & flash*
Cindy said she likes the finish & it actually feels light on her skin. She also bought a synthetic foundation brush to apply the liquid foundation. Then we sat down at Starbucks and caught up with stuffs we've been missing out. Windy & Ai were my closest friend when we were in Japan and we could gossip for hours til we fell asleep. Our pillow talks were the best, I remember one time Windy stayed over and we both were already really drowsy on the bed but we kept talking until we both had no idea what we were talking about. We were like "Huh? What did you say? What did I say?" lol

Haul of The Day: Traincase
Well, my makeup collection has indeed grew unshamefully for the last 2 years and I knew someday I would need a bigger storage and something I could take around with me. I had my small black case I bought from Muji 無印良品 years ago, but it can no longer hold my growing foundations collection, let alone all my eyeshadow palettes.
I have been searching online and although the price was tempting, the shipping cost wasn't..especially to Hawaii which MOSTLY always require extra cost. So I was walking around at Ace Hardware in Jakarta couple days ago and I saw this cute black leather traincase and price tag was only $49.99 O.O I thought my eyes fooled me but it turned out they were having this "election sale" haha I compared to another store which sells the exact same thing but the price was doubled the one at Ace Hardware, so we came back and bought it.
I remember seeing this exact bag at Yazmo.com and it costs around $79.95, you can check it out here.
I like how it's not too big and heavy so now I have something to store all my little jars & palettes.

I love Neutrals, Awards & Babies !
If you noticed I've been doing a lot of FOTD nowadays, well that's because I haven't actually hauled anything =D so I gotta make up with something, right? Here's the one I did yesterday when I was out to drop off my mom to the airport.
I'm keeping the eyes neutral coz there's no need to look bright & intense, besides the older I get the softer I'd prefer my eyes to be...lol idk why, it just happened ok? Tho I added a blue liner on my lower lashline to brighten up brown eyes and it worked like a charm for my tired eyes too.
For face, again I'm keeping it simple with my new favorite mineral foundation, Pure Anada in Niagara Fawn shade which offers great coverage, so great I hardly use concealer anymore. A soft bronzer to contour and peach blush were used on cheeks.

thanks, Ai.....it's always nice getting these from someone I know as a person because you know it's a genuine appreciation, or at least I hoped so hahahaha (jk). I'm glad you reactivated your beauty blog again, although that means you're getting more broke with new lemmings. I'll always be your greatest enabler.....don't forget that ^^.
Oh when I was at the mall, my mom & I met her friends with her baby and her nephew and they are SUPER CUTEEEEEEEEEEEE. Her son is 5 months old and he's so chubby, I had hard time keeping him in my arms coz he's very heavy. What's funny is that his face expression always looks angry, but he was actually sleepy =P
