NOTD: Ice Cubes on Asphalt

This would be my last week mani which I forgot to upload. I saw a cool design on Tumblr and thought, "Hey, I have that Konad plate!" (btw I still chuckle when I hear the word "Konad" coz it reminds me of gonads. What the hell is wrong with me? I never grow up.) Anyway, the design is in m73 plate and the base color is Wet'n'Wild Black Creme (the best, 1 coater, jet black polish I've ever tried). The silver color for the ice cubes is Revlon Silver Screen, a rather "meh" color on its own but turns out to be a gorgeous stamping polish. I decided to make it matte and used Essie Matte About You as top coat.

Hope you like it!

NOTD: Cute as a Button

Finally I found some time to practice my Konad *i'm still giggling while typing it, right LT?? LoL* and this time I used M16 plate with the buttons picture on it.

For the base, I used Savina nail polishes. I don't have picture of the actual bottle because my battery ran out before I took the pic. Anyway I got Savina polishes from my local Nordstrom Rack and it sells for about $4 per bottle.

Interesting fact, Savina has the same company who formulates China Glaze & Claire's nail polishes. I have to say they are pretty good and the pigmentation is just as nice as China Glaze. In fact, there are some possible dupe of China Glaze that you can find at Savina.

On my thumb nail I have Savina Lila and it's a gorgeous magenta purple that dries matte. It was pretty surprising because from the bottle I was expecting a creme finish but hey, I love mattes so it was surely a pleasant surprise.

The rest of my fingers I painted them with Savina Light Mist which is I believe can be a dupe of China Glaze Moody Blue or Nubar Baby Blue. I personally love this color, it's like a milky blue and it goes on smoothly. Pictures below are taken on different lightings just for a comparison.

So here's the finish look with Konad M16 plate, I used Konad White special Polish & L.A Colors Art Deco Nail Laquer in Dark Blue.

Hope you guys like them =)

NOTD: Konad !

Finally I'm trying on Konad.

First time I heard about Konad I was cracking up because of the name.............KONAD. lol.

Doesn't it make you think dirty? ...........no? maybe it's just me then >.<

*cough* Anyway, I made an order from WowSoCool, using "nailphile" code to get 30% off. The processing time is fast, got shipping notification practically the next day & they arrived within 3 days.

The shipping is free Worldwide for $20 minimum purchase
so I ordered the stamp & scraper kit, 3 plates and 1 White special polish. I know you don't need to get special polish to make it work but I wanted to make comparison so I went ahead and get one anyway.

I am trying out the musical notes from Plate m73, I have to say my first trial FAILED MISERABLY lol. For some reason I was having a hard time getting the polish quick enough to transfer to the stamper. I practiced couple of times and the results you see is probably the most decent one. I know.....sad, right? xD well, I didn't expect it to turn out amazing on first try anyway, so I'll keep practicing hahaha

*my sister asked me what Ulzzang means so I took this picture to show her. Of course I don't do the crazy eyeliner thing because I think my eyes are already scarily big. Remind you, I don't normally don't do cutesy stuff so this is considered a gold dust =P*

So here's me, a Konad virgin supporting Ulzzang look.
