EOTD: Midnight Pomegranate

I was inspired by one of the scent line of Bath & Body Works called Midnight Pomegranate. Although it's not my favorite scent from them, I've always thought the combination of dark pink, orange, and purple that is shown on their packaging, was beautiful.

I used my 96 color palette again since I didn't aim for any shimmer. For base, dark pink color from Mehron Aqua Pastel palette was used and the rest are from drugstore (Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara, Jordana Rich Vanilla for highlight and L'oreal HiP Cream liner). I don't really like how I did my liner this time (boooo) but overall, the color came out nicely.

So here are the pic spam, hope you enjoy it =)

FOTD: Whimsical Valentine

OMAGAH
I feel like it's been years since I posted something :( So sorry guys, winter makes me lazy hehehe.

Without further ado, here are a recent look that I created. I'd call it a Whimsical Valentine. Well, since Valentine it's on its way, I figured I'll create some looks that could be worn during Valentines. I'm not personally big on wearing pinks on my eyes so I'd prefer playing with other colors that are still soft & girly.

Anyway, I decided to use my Miss Rose 40 Eyeshadow Palette (hello, long time no see! ^^) and Mehron Aqua Pastel Palette as a color base product.

(BASE)

The teal was applied on main lid
The purple was applied on crease

(Eyeshadows)

1 & 2 were mixed, applied as lid color
3 was applied on inner lower lash line
4 was applied on outer corner
5 was applied on crease & under brow bone
6 was applied to deepen the socket
7 was applied as highlight

(Other product)
L'oreal HiP Black Cream Eyeliner
Rimmel Sexy Curve Mascara

With Flash

With Natural Light

My WHUT?! face lol

I was wearing NYX Barbie Doll on lips
(in case anyone wondering ^^)

EOTD: UD Get Baked Palette pt.2

Today I experiment with the same palette I received recently which is Urban Decay Get Baked Palette. I did the pretty obvious color combination on my previous post, which was using Flipside (the teal color) as the main lid color but I was asking myself, is that it?

Obviously no, because I love doing neutrals color on my lid for everyday look and I do love wearing a pop of color on my lower lash line, to brighten the look.

I personally think this particular look I do is very suitable for Summer days where you don't really wanna look like you spent hours doing your makeup, but still pretty & wowza. Well, you all probably have done this for so long now and I'm just blabbering like a fool hahah.

So onto the product breakdown, I used Mehron Paradise Aqua Color Palette in Pastel as a base instead of UDPP Sin, I have no negative thing to say to Mehron so I'll just leave it there. I also did cat eye lining for fun, it does make the eyes appear sultry.

What I used:

The swatches of Mehron. The brown the teal one I used on lower lash line, obviously.
I also used another gorgeous shadow from Urban Decay called Ransom,
it's a lovely blue with purple-ish undertone, but the picture above makes it look more purple.

The UD Get Baked Palette, Half Baked is used on inner 1/3 of lid, Baked on middle lid, and Twice Baked on crease. Flipside was swept on the lower lash line along with Ransom focusing more on the outer part of lower lash line.

Other product used:
L'oreal HiP Black Cream Liner
Rimmel Sexy Curve Mascara

(It's funny that Flipside appears more bluish on this look :D)

EOTD: Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals

I woke up today with a bad headache, honestly I haven't been feeling well for the last couple of days as it always happen to me when the season changes...kinda weird but it does.

Oh, and I'm pissed that Danny Gokey was eliminated!!!!!! WTH? But that's ok, not every American Idol winner is guaranteed a success anyway, look what happen to Jennifer Hudson, Kathrine McPhee, and Daughtry! Otherwise, I have also been wanting to try out the new Maybelline Sunbaked Neutrals palette that I bought recently.

I paired the neutral on the lid and greens on lower lash line. I quite like the result, I think it's subtle enough for day time look but you can add an oomph for the evening by simply adding more dark color & smoke it out. I used Mehron light brown as a base but it's optional. This color matches my skin tone anyway.

On the lid I applied the beige and off-white color, for a change I applied the light brown in the inner corner (this would accentuate your middle part of the lid which is a lighter color) and use the bronze color on crease. I also added the dark brown to define my crease more, and finish by applying both of the greens on the lower lash line.

Other products I used are

UDPP
Mehron Paradise AQ Pastel (Brown)
CG Very Black Lash Blast
Prestige Brown Liquid Liner
Kirkland Black Pencil Liner

EOTD: Sexy Bedroom Eyes

I'm in the sultry smokey kick lately, so I decided to recreate a bedroom eyes inspired by the infamous Kim Kardashian. Did you see she even wore the smokey eyes on her sex tape? LMAO.

I aimed for the "come hither" effect, a back to basic smokey eye using black and browns. I noticed smokey eye tends to make my eyes look smaller so I used white liner on my waterline to open my eyes. This step is optional.

Here are the items I used

Urban Decay Primer Potion
Mehron Paradise AQ Palette brown for base (cow's butt is back! lol)
MAC Black Tied (or Carbon, or any black e/s)
96 Eyeshadow Palette (dark brown, medium brown, light brown & highlight color)
Cover Girl Lash Blast
Rimmel Soft Kajal Eyeliner (White)

Then I addedRimmel Soft Kajal Eyeliner (Black)
*this is also optional*

EOTD: Kat Von D Beethoven

This has been my favorite palette, Kat Von D Beethoven is such a gorgeous bluish/purple color selections that is versatile for day and night. I adore the packaging and they are so pigmented. For a complete thoughts & swatches you can check out my previous post.

So after 10 days of full admiring & stealing some quick-glanced at them, I finally embraced myself to actually use the palette. I am using Mehron Paradise AQ in Light Blue as a base and honestly, maybe I should not have. The reason is because with that base, the blue eyeshadow (Speed Blue) looks too light. Either the Mehron or my camera just sucks at picking up the color.

Otherwise, Mehron does tremendous job bringing out the color and it's blendable. Here are the complete list of my used products for this look.

*UDPP
*Mehron Paradise AQ in Light Blue (Cow's Butt)
*Kat Von D Beethoven in Razor Gray (1)
*Kat Von D Beethoven in Speed Blue (2)
*Kat Von D Beethoven in Sinner (3)
*Kat Von D Beethoven in Leather (4)
*Kat Von D Beethoven in Rad Purple (5)
*Kat Von D Beethoven in Tequila (6)
*Kirkland Jet Black Pencil Eyeliner
*Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara

For those of you who's interested in the steps, here they are (if not, just skip to the next 6 pictures)
Apply Mehron blue base all over the lid, crease & lower lash line,
don't forget to smooth out the harsh line w/ finger or brush

Apply Razor Gray to inner corner

Pat down some Speed Blue to the rest of the lid,
blend out with Razor Gray

Using a big contour brush apply Sinner to your outer V
& under brow bone,
blend out with Speed Blue

Pick up some Leather and apply it to the crease area, blend out nicely

Repeat the step to lower lash line, only I exchanged Leather
with Rad Purple for outer part.
Apply Tequila as a highlighter onto your brow bone.
BLEND THE HECK OUT OF IT !!!

Apply your black pencil liner, smudge it out and don't forget mascara.
I'm loving CG Lash Blast at the moment

*review coming soon*

I will experiment more with the other colors and see what else I can do with them mwahahahahaahahahahahahaha *evil Dr.Frankenstein laugh*

Stay tuned~
