EOTD: Vampy's Blood

I know it's a little late for Halloween but I was in an urge to do a dark smoky look. Brown and black have been done before so I was flipping through my mineral samples to see if there's anything else I could use.

I saw this lovely jewel blue from Archetype Cosmetic called Black Dahlia, it's actually a dark blue (almost black) pigment with blue sparkles. I decided to incorporate it with a red pigment from NYX called Penny and used Lucky Charm, a black with purple glitter pigment from The She Space. Dirty Blonde was applied for highlight.

The result is quite dark because I did prime my lid with NYX Black Bean JEP, but I quite like it. I just wished the camera would pick up more blue because it does look bluer in real life. Oh well =)

Multicolor Smoky Look

I was just playing around with colors, trying to create a new smoky eyes. I ended up using copper color with a touch of purple, and included a goldish yellow on lid to makes it pop a little bit.

Using various kinds of company here, EG Minerals, Archetype Cosmetics, Aromaleigh and NYX.

I had fun creating this sexy schemexy lip color combinations, they're probably my favorite pairs at the moment.

EOTD: Blue Ocean & Drugstore Haul

My take on Blue Ocean Eyes using L'oreal HIP Showy (MAC Parrot dupe's) and some others MMU pigments.

I saw this Burt's Bees Raspberry & Brazil Nut Moisturizing conditioner and decided to give it a try, hopefully I'm not allergic to Raspberry ^_^ I will do some reviews once I'm sure with the result. Oh btw it smells DIVINE !!!!

Jordana lipgloss in Natural is very pretty, I was kinda hesitant coz it reminded me of NYX Beige, but when I swatched them @ home, they're totally different. Beige is definitely pinkier (is that a word? LOL).
Wet'n'Wild lipstick in Light Beige Frost is kind of misleading, coz it's not LIGHT nor BEIGE ^_^
but for $0.99, I'm pleased with its moisturizing texture & it contains Vitamin A, C & E.

Archetype's Swatch

This is gonna be the quick review & swatches on my Archetype's e/s that I got, as I mentioned in the earlier post, I ordered 9 of them but due to the super duper slow process & shipping, Holly the owner sent me an 8 free samples!

I have to say the colors are very pretty but holy cow they are VERY SPARKLY! I dunno how am I gonna wear it without looking like disco ball LOL oh well, we'll see.

Other than that, I actually love it, the ranges of colors they offer are very wide, different sparkles could make a totally different shades i.m.o : )

So here we go:

Dirty Blonde: peachy ivory
Child of Hounds: pale apricot (i notice green shimmer)
Mausie: opaque copper penny (i like this one)
Apocalypse Meow: soft pink with green sparkle (too sparkly for me)


Mandrake Root: golden green shimmer
Back to the Sea: sea blue-green with gold shimmer
Old Erie: gemlike green with gold sparkle
Cicatrix: deep leaf green with pink flash (LOOOOVE this one)
Angel of Indulgence: dark turquoise teal blue
The Gargoyle Tree: smokey grey with green tint (very unique)
Midnight Aeval: blackened teal with silver sparkle
Bengal: honey brown with green sparkle


Styx: purple with silver spark (again, this one is VERY sparkly)
Black Dahlia: black with purple sparkle
Raven's Father: turquoise purple blue
Dark Ouija: navy blue with grey-purple tint (I adore this one)

Now I have another one called Betty's Bangs which I forgot to swatch (sorry) but it's basically a black with blue highlights, would be awesome for eye liner.

Archetype & Walmart Haul

FINALLY,

My Archetype order has arrived *fiuhhhh* what a long waiting LOL I order 9 shades and I have to say I am pleased with the colors (although the waiting is craizeeeeh)

oh and yes, she STILL hand-writes the product names, I hope that's not the reason it took a month to process -_-' hehe

and guess what, Holly sent me lotsa freebies, there are 8 of them !!!!

Later today I went to Walmart to pick up some measuring spoons, I plan to make some toner & mask so I thought it's about time I get those measurements, for my own convenience. When I was there I stumbled upon this cute stuff in Beads/Crafts area

It only cost $2.24. I think it's perfect for my eye pigments coz they are taking too much space now. I tried to squish them in this cute little organizer, and I'm glad they fit perfectly! (btw thanx Christiana for the suggestion, but I think this is a different ones hehe It still fits tho)

Even my NYX ultrapearlmanias and Chrome eyeshadows fit in : ) I might get a bigger one if my collections grows hehehe

And these are my measuring spoons

(I think Sis Lynne has the similar thing) isn't it cute? it costs me $1.97 and has a matching colorful measuring cups too but I looked around more and found this

Ok maybe it's not as cute but I got this one instead for two reasons (beside the fact that it consists both measuring cups AND spoons), first it only costs $0.97! NOT EVEN A DOLLAR...(how could I not get it?) secondly, it has a very accurate measurements:

I found it very handy, you don't have to pop your eyes out trying to get the right '2/3 cup or 1/3 cup'
just like what mom always told me, "It's not always about the appearance, Inan..." hehehe

You're must be wondering, so why did I get the colorful spoons?

Well, besides it's irresistible (hehe) it also has the smallest measurement (1/8 tsp), the black ones ends only at 1/4 tsp.

Doesn't it good to find a good bargain : ) ?
