Perfume Tag

I've been in a fragrance kick lately so I figured why not do this tag I found at Stefanie's blog. I probably won't specifically tag anyone because to be honest I have no idea who still reads this blog (or if there's even any *sobs*). So here we go!

1. Fragrance with the most memory attached?
One is Jean Paul Gaultier Classique, which my mom used for the very long time. I remember when I was young I used to sneak into my parents' bedroom and play in front of her vanity. I ALWAYS sniffed this perfume my mom bought from Paris but since it looked expensive I was too scared to actually spritz it on myself (lol what a scaredy cat I was!). Then she ran out of it and never purchased it again for some reason (I know it's quite expensive buying perfume back home, plus the concern of their authenticity was also questionable).

Another one is Clinique Happy Heart, my signature scent back in college.


2. Your most favorite perfume bottle?
Yep, it's none other than the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique :) Mostly because it has boobies.
I also love L'occitane Cherry Blossom's bottle.

3. Which perfume do you wish was still produced? (i.e. that was limited edition or has now been discontinued?)

The Body Shop Moonflower, which was my all time favorite back in high school. I almost bawled when they were dc-ed and went panicky to buy the overpriced perfume oils off Ebay.

4. Favourite perfume advertising campaign?

J'adore by Christian Dior. You know the one with Charlize Theron strutting her swaggah while undressing herself? I'm always stunned by how she said "J'adore~ Dior~" ... OMG it's so sexy French-o-licious!!!!

5. Best perfume related discovery?

Definitely Etsy and other e-tailer perfumes, they're mostly affordable and offer sample vials. 

My favorite so far are Haus of Gloi, Wylde Ivy, and Lunableu (not Etsy).

6. Perfume that you expected to love and didn't?

Gucci Envy Me; I remember reading the notes and went to buy it because I was so sure it was for me but then I wore it and it was sort of underwhelming. I liked it tho, but it was just not as amazing as I hoped.

7. Perfume you would give your left arm for? 

Probably Bond no.9 New Haarlem. I'm obsessed with it at the moment but holy saint peter on popsicle stick, THE PRICE!!!

8. Top 5 Favourite perfume notes?

• Blackberry

• Orange Blossom

9. Perfume you wish would die a horrible death?
The Sécrétions Magnifiques by Etat Libre d'Orange.
Why? Because it smells like semen (yes I did sniff it out of curiosity).

10. Next perfume(s) on your 'to buy' list? 
I feel like I need a full size of Fresh Sugar Lychee, DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Juice, Deseo and probably another bottle of Avon Imari Seduction since I'm running low. As for indie e-tailer perfumes, my list is not as short:

Taglicious !!!

Hi ladies, how was your Halloween? Mine was sitting around watching Ghost Hunters Live LOL yeah, didn't feel like dressing up but I had fun watching my little neighbors running around with their costumes.

Funny story, a little girl came trick or treating dressing up with Barbie colored outfit & blonde wig, so I said "Nice costume, you're a Barbie right?" and she looked at me weird & replied "I'm Paris Hilton". *insert a WTF moment here"

....... yeah, kids these days.

1. At the moment, I'm obsessed over Logan Neitzel. He was one of current Project Runway contestant and I don't know about you, but for me a clothing designer SHOULD NOT look as yummy as the model =D Well, unfortunately he does. 2. I hate people who are ignorant, racist, and those who push into lines.

3. I also hate being around smokers & loud drunks. Nothing good comes out of them.

4. I think all women should have curves, as my friend say "No curves, no swerves".

5. I really thought I was cool back in grade school. I wore slap bracelet & Dr.Martens boot everyday. Good ol'90s fashion, aye?

6. Never understand why sometimes people abuse the quotation marks, you know the gesture of quoting with your two fingers on both hands? Yesterday I saw a sign in in the market: "Fresh" Vegetables...... what does that mean??

7. My little sister is the funniest & nicest person in the whole wide world, the guy who will marry her is a one damn lucky guy.

8. Not sure if I mentioned this, but I can't brush my teeth with warm water. I love the minty cool breath & the tingles I got from cold water meets peppermint toothpaste, so warm water just kinda kills it.

9. I'm always on a search for my HG anti-acne remedy, having oily skin sucks.

10. I think I'm gonna be a great mom someday, at least I plan to =)

Shampoo: Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo. Now don't let the 'herbal' scares you because this shampoo actually smells like Winter Candy Apple (so yum) and it doesn't have SLS in it. I did a quick haul/review post back then.

None in general but I have more NYXs & Urban Decays compare to others, does that count?

Sakura & Plumeria (love both their look & smell)

Flats, comforts before styles

That would be Black, although Black isn't considered a color =P

If you read my last FOTD post, you must have noticed I've been wearing Pure Anada Mineral Foundation. I tested out this mineral company back in 2007 when I was just starting out with minerals. I found this Canada-based mineral company to be ethnic-friendly, meaning they have various shades and skin tones available to women with colors. Candace, the owner of Pure Anada is a total sweetheart. I was having problems finding my shade and she helped me through & through. I sent her my shade with other foundation via post and she mailed me back the exact shade of Pure Anada Mineral Foundation full size, to try out.

Unfortunately I was being too excited trying all different kinds of MMU and had forgotten about Pure Anada. Not until recently I fell in love again with the perfect shade & coverage I want, and my skin has been loving the finish and how it captures in picture.

My shade is "Niagara Fawn", an Olive undertone.

I wasn't paid doing this review but merely an excitement of finding a 'new' old love.

What is your current obsession?
At the moment I'm obsessed with Kat Von D Beethoven Palette (see my review here).

What is your weirdest obsession?
Korean Reality Show called We Got Married. It's basically a show that "marry" 2 random celebrities for months and see what happen to them. Some couples are boring, some are very romantic and some are super hilarious. My favorite is them, Hwang Bo & Kim Hyun Joong. The wife (Hwang Bo) is a 29 year old singer/rapper and the husband (KHJ) is only 23. He's a leader of SS501 Korean Boyband and also a star in Boys Before Flower (Korean interpretation of Hana Yori Dango, a famous Japanese comic that is already been made into series in Taiwan Meteor Garden) as one of the F4.

My 7 Deadly Lippy

Well, I saw this tag was done a lot @ Youtube and I think it is really fun to see people's fave lip items and the reason behind it. I decided to do it but instead of 6, I upgraded it to 7 and named them 7 Deadly Sins Lippy since it's not easy to choose 6 HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm such a cheater.

My 7 Deadly Lippy

• C.O Bigelow Mentha Lip Balm Stick SPF 15 (I love it because it's SUPER moisturizing, it's sheer -not glossy-, not waxy, tingling, and it tastes sweet! Not to mention the SPF in it that makes it even more special. I am in love with the packaging too....Bye Bye Chapstick !!!

• N.Y.C Mousse (This shades got my eyes among all of N.Y.C shades, it's very natural on my pigmented lip and if applied with light hand, it's definitely my HG Nude lippy.

• NYX Mars (My new baby, this is basically a brownish version of Mousse. Love it a lot, another HG Nude hehe)

• Rimmel Undressed (Peachy love....this is a great peach shade, I use it mainly in the summer when my skin is darker, goes well with bronzed skin.

• C.O Bigelow Menta Lip Tint Magenta Mint (I've been in search for lip tint, I passed Stila's and Mark's product and so happy I stumbled upon this one. Many people seem to like Bare Mint but it doesn't show up on my lips. I love it's taste, moisturize my lips, cooling sensation and the pink tint it gives, as if I just ate a strawberry popsicle hehe)

• L'oreal HiP Reserved (This reminds me of NYX Beige but I'd prefer this coz it lasts longer and has thinner consistency, it's also moisturizing, believe it or not)

• NYX Gold Pink (Yup, scary in the tube but absolutely gorgeous on lips. It needs to be applied with light hand tho, I normally dots some on my lips and spread it around with my finger. I love the gold shimmer in it too.

What I noticed from my choice?
There's no MMU lippies !!! How come !!! hahaha well, honestly I have only tried 1 Mineral Lippies and it's from Silk Naturals (Swept Away). The color was pretty but not my favorite.

What were you doing in the picture?

Attending my senpai's (senior's) wedding in Jakarta. He's Indonesian and married a lovely German girl, who is also my senpai from my Uni in Japan, I call her Mbak Anna-Banana (Mbak is Indonesian word for 'Miss"). I wasn't into Mineral Makeup back then, so I must have used some MAC...can't recall tho.


Anything you missed from last year?

Yessss, my college life & my super hilarious girl friends. And Japan.


Do you think you've changed over a year?

Oh yeah...I'm more negative now (it's a bad thing, and trying to get rid of that) but of course, more life experience.


If God asked you if you wanted to go back to where you were last year, what would you say?

I said, no, God...thank you for offering but past is past and no matter how much I wanted to change some things back then, I know everything happened for a reason, and it made me, Me.
