Rainforest Soap Shack is a Canadian-based Bath & Body Products company which specialized in yummy scented & wonderful quality of products.

I have read many reviews and raves on their products but the $9.95 shipping rates to U.S always put me off. Today when I received the newsletter along with their newest product launch of Body Glaze (sprayable lotion) and Protein Hair Mist *which you can get for FREE if you shop at least $30* I literally jumped for joy around the room on their Free Shipping Sale.

I've been wanting to try out their Sugar Whip and Bath Butter since those are the most raved items from RSS.

The best thing about them is you can choose 2 scents (layering/splitting) in 1 jar and lemme tell you, I am having hard times choosing because all of their scents sound oh-so-lovely.

If you're a monogamist unlike me *only in bath & body!!! I swear to all my body lotions* LOL you can choose 1 scent you desire. But I warn you, you'll end up getting more products coz I can guarantee you'll be wanting to try more :D

You can also choose the color or the Bath Butter, I had mine in green ^_^

My order:

1. Sugar Whip CAD $6.95 (US $6.55)
Size: 170 g (6 oz)
Scents: 1# A Marshmallow Kissed Me ( Fluffy white marshmallows dipped in vanilla )
2# Black Magic ( A magical blend of blackberries and raspberries, with middle notes
of white floral greenery, and bottom notes of musk and vanilla )

2. Whipped Bath Butter CAD6.95 (US $6.55)
Size: 113 g (4 oz)
Scents: 1# Blueberry Cheesecake ( A thick, rich New York Cheesecake with a light
graham cracker crust and smothered in delicious blueberries )
2# Desperate Housewife ( Fluffy Marshmallow, Vanilla Sugar Cookies topped off
with ooey gooey Caramel )

ohhhhh i can't wait for them!

TSS & Joppa Haul

My The She Space order & Joppa order have arrived : ) !!!

From Joppa I took advantage from their Free Shipping offer a while back and ordered:

  • 3pc Mini Sampler: Medium Tan (Soft Coverage), Medium #3 (Full Coverage), Mocha (Finishing Silk)
  • Sample: Tan (Dewy Silk)
  • Sample: Pink Lemonade, Raspberry Ice (Blush)
and I got free samples of Tuscany & Amore (Simple Radiance)

yeah, Pink Lemonade is definitely too light for me, it's almost white hehe, too bad it looks pretty in the bag. Raspberry Ice is just an OK for me, I'd prefer a darker blush since light blush never shows up on my cheek >.<>
  • Custom Bar Pigments: Pushing Daisies, Social Misfit, Live for Drama, Modified Chaos
  • About Eyes: Modified Chaos
  • About Face Powder Blush: Passion Dance
  • and I got Recoil Blush for free, I have no idea if this comes along with Passion Dance coz it apparently listed in my invoice like this:
    Item Name:Powdered Blush Sample
Item Options:Blush Sample Color: Passion Dance
    More Sample Color Choices: Recoil
    Item Number:PB600
    Quantity:1
    Total:$0,50 USD

    Modified Chaos: smoked aqua blue
Lives for Drama: soft melon berry
    Pushing Daisies: golden olive green
    Social Misfit: perfect kelly green
    Gothic Glamour: blackened pewter shimmer

The first 4 (Custom Bar Pigments) I just ordered it on its own, didn't add any shimmer or sparkle, AND I'M GLAD I DID hehehehe they're so pretty and velvety, I think I might order some more.

    Recoil: cool raspberry pink
Passion Dance: almost matte raspberry pink

    Yayyyy I love everything ^_^

    Joppa Foundation test & Dinner

If you read my previous posts, I'm sure you noticed that I have received gazillions samples from mineral make-up sites (my reasoning: March is MY month LOL), so until now I'm on this 'testing' foundation period, I give a break in between brands since I want to keep track on how my skin reacts.

Last night we went to Japanese dinner buffet @ Pearl City with Aaron's friend Giuseppe and his brother, so I decided it's time for Joppa foundation to be put on the test :D After face primer, I buffed the foundation all over my face therefore I was only left with less spots to conceal, and after I put concealer I buffed another layer of foundation. Bahama Bronzer is the BOMB, ladies...really pretty & gives me a healthy glow. I also try their Finishing Silk after everything. I have to say the coverage is AWESOME and it lasts forever hehehe We went around all day and my face still looked "just put on a make-up" and no shine. AT ALL !! ain't that crazy?

    Face:
Classy Minerals Face Primer (I love this stuff!)
    EDM Spring Concealer
    Joppa Medium Tan Foundation
    Joppa Finishing Silk in Medium

    Cheek:
Joppa Bahama Bronzer (contour & cheekbones)
EDM Email Me Blush (apple cheeks)

    Eyes:
    Rimmel eyeliner pencil
    Maybelline Volum'Express mascara
    (yeah I was lazy LOL)

    Lips:
    Chapstick
    NYX Gold Pink Lipgloss

I love the 'glow' that Joppa foundation gives :D I thought Medium Tan would be too orange (when I swatched on my hands) but it seemed to match just right.

Anyway here's some pics from the dinner

This morning I received the sample of Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 I got from LooseLips. Sherry, the owner, posted her new products on Vox awhile back and asked if someone would like to sample for free :D This moisturizer comes in 3 shades: Sand, Sun, and Radiance. Sand is light, Sun is Medium, Radiance is dark/tan. I got the one in Sun. This moisturizer is oil free and recommended for all skin types. It contains SPF 15 and potent anti-oxidants Vitamin A, C, and E to restore skin's essential moisturizer while providing a natural sheer coverage. She shipped it really fast, I must say ^_^ and she's really nice, sending me another sample of her bronzer and a coupon code for the next purchase.

it's very cute packaging , dont you think? ^_^ I'm keeping it LOL. I will be trying this moisturizer soon and will make some review on it.

    Toodles for now!

    Today's Haul Day !!!

Yessssssss the rest of my online shopping order came today *jumpin around* :D

    These are the goodies

    Joppa Minerals
I took advantage from their Free Shipping sale a while back, and combined it with the 10% discount which is still going on now, and ordered 4 blushes sample and 3 pc. foundation samples. The rest are free sample from Joppa ;D

    E.L.F
I decided to chose these empty palettes over MAC ones, since I got a $5.00 off from E.L.F, these palettes only cost $1.00 each, as well as the curler, so basically for these goodies, I only paid for shipping hehehe I heard their Mechanical Eyelash Curler is awesome, so I gave it a try...hey, it's for free so y not?

    Soapalaya Soap
I ordered their Gentle Facial Cleanser & Scrub for Oily and Blemish Prone Skin, this is only a sample size, Alex, the owner sold for $2.00. She gave me a Lavender & Lilac sample soap which smells great, I dunno if you can see from the picture but the soap has some hot pink dots in it :D so cute!

    Ebay
Isn't she pretty??? The iron, not the girl LOL From the description it says you can also create a soft curl (I think I've seen some videos on youtube, making curls with flat iron) they gave me a free small bottle of Chi Silk Infusion. I bought this for $10.99 including shipping :D

    Swatches for Joppa samples:

I dunno, I like everything here mwahah Dewdrop probably can be used for highlighting my cheekbones. Makayla and Bahama Bronzer seem to have more sparkle, but not too 'disco ball' like.

Medium Tan seems to be pretty orange, and Medium #2 is kinda ashy...I need a face test for these, hopefully either of them will match me ^_^

I also decided to swatch blushes from Classy Minerals
Brick looks like an orangey version of my EDM Sunday Brunch, Russett and Kissed will be great for everyday blushes since I have a feeling it wouldn't be showing up as vibrant on my cheek.

Can't wait to try them all *big grin*

    Joppa Free Shipping !!

Today after I came back from Costco with full tummy (gotta love foods sample!! LOL), I had an urge to check mineral sites, Joppa minerals was the first site I checked and I was pretty ecstatic to know that THEY HAVE A FREE SHIPPING offer which ends March 27 midnight. Yes, tonight !!!

I've been eyeing on their blushes and since they offer $0.75 sample bag I thought, hey why not? So I read around about their products and some say Joppa blushes are actually a tad darker than the picture, and I also gotta make sure I wouldn't order similar shades of blushes I have from other sites.

I narrowed down to 4 choices:

    1. Makayla

    2. Savannah

    3. Earthen Rose

    4. Bahama Bronzer
Isn't Bahama Bronzer pretty? I figured Spring has started so I'd better get into the groove ; P

Oh and guess what......My Everyday Minerals order came today!!!! *jumpin for joy*
I wanted to make sure I order the right shade this time so I've been joining their EDM forum and mailing list to ask the more knowledgeable girls out there, and based on their advise and my own experience with previous 'too-light on everything' EDM 1st trial, I ordered:
    *EDM Foundation: Buttered Tan
    *EDM Foundation: Sandy Medium
    *EDM Foundation: Medium Tan
    *EDM Concealer: Spring
    *EDM Blush: Sunday Brunch

and apart from the free kit I included: their FAMOUS Flat Top Brush and their big empty mixing jar with sifter.

    The Whole Items
    Free Kit:
    Flat Top:
    look how dense it is:
and omaigod, you guys.....it's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo soft, i swear it feels like velvet, i even brush it on my bf's hand and he agreed on how soft it is :D for $10.00, it's a steal really...

so yeah I tried the foundation kit and it seems like Medium Tan suits me the best. The Sunday Brunch blush is very gorgeous, i can see how it can be too pigmented on lighter skin tone and even on me, i had to apply it with very light hand (and a fan brush LOL), it came out really pretty and gave me a healthy berry pink cheek.

I definitely love EDM and although some girls prefer heavier coverage, I'm still pleased with their overall finishing quality. So it's a keeper for me. YAY !
