Indie Focus: Pahlish August Duo & Moats and Boats and Waterfalls

Hey guys!

I'm back with new indie polishes from Pahlish, an indie seller on Etsy. The first one is called:

 "Moats and Boats and Waterfalls"
It's a dark teal jelly with blue, silver, lavender and teal hex glitters in various sizes. I think it's such a unique combo and the lavender certainly makes it much more interesting than the usual blues/teals mix that many indie polishes currently have.

Used 2 coats with Seche Vite
It looks a bit like a galaxy, don't you think? :)
 Some cool macro shot

Second one is actually a new upcoming August duo called "Old Fires Were Burning" which consists of:
1. Slow Like Honey
2. Heavy With Mood

According to Pahlish:
Slow Like Honey: nude/putty cream with copper shimmer and green glass flecksHeavy With Mood: clear based glitter topper with copper metallic glitters in several sizes, small moss green hex, and medium midnight green squares accented by sparse gold shimmer

"Slow Like Honey"

LOOK AT DEM FLECKS THO

2 coats with Seche Vite
I love this one so much, it's subdued and the flecks is very subtle.
Kinda wish it'd show up more, actually.

"Heavy With Mood"

I like how in certain lighting the copper glitters look like rose gold,
and in another angle they just look like peas & carrots :P
 Macro shot because WHY NOT

Check them out on Etsy and Facebook for further info and sales.

NOTD: Femme Fatale Cosmetics - Winter Hyacinth

It's finally here.

Yes, my biggest lemming is finally mine. I'm not gonna bore you by discussing at length on how much I wanted this Australian-based seller's polish, which is not only hard to get, but also ALWAYS sold out whenever I tried to buy it.

As I said, the time has come and I finally snatched it from Llarowe's site (which is pretty much like "the" ultimate drug dealer of indie polishes junkie).

It's called Winter Hyacinth, by Femme Fatale Cosmetics and it's a teal jelly with white, red, magenta, and pink hexes in various sizes.

Go on, feast your eyes.
No one's gonna stop you.

All I can say is, it's worth the wait and anxiety. Super gorgeousness!

Swatches: Liquid Lacquer Collide Into You & Halfway Gemini

I'm on a roll this week! Here's another post on indie polish sellers I've tried before, Liquid Lacquer. Recently they released these 2 limited edition polishes which contain circle glitters exclusively, so of course, I had to have them. They are called Halfway Gemini and Collide Into You...and they are GOOOOORGEOUS!

Halfway Gemini - Collide Into You
"Halfway Gemini - A vibrant blue jelly with rose gold and pink circles and scattered silver dust."

so I was so excited to try this one as well.
Obviously, they don't disappoint.

"Collide Into You - An awesome turquoise jelly with pink and gold cicles and scattered gold micro flakes."

Holy crap on a cracker!!!! I'm DYING over this one.
The turquoise/magenta combo never fails me.
This feeds my perpetual hunger for Femme Fatale Cosmetics's Winter Hyacinth for a while.

Overall, I'm so impressed by the quality of the product. If you're interested, check out Liquid Lacquer here and their Facebook here.

Thanks for checking out!

Swatch: Lac Attack - Beauxbatons Academy

Hey guys,

I am proud to say that I'm a Potter generation, growing up reading the books and was present when the movies were finalized. Someday when my kid asks about the doomed story of one particular sparkly vampire, I'd be happy to say inform that he was in Harry Potter way before it. And he died.

Anyway, this nail polish one of Lac Attack "Magical Musings" collection called Beauxbatons Academy. YES, the lovely all-female French Wizarding school where the ladies twirl instead of walk from one classroom to another.

Ugh so lovely!
even their behind are gorgeous...

Taken from Lac Attack's site:
Beauxbatons is the French wizarding school. This polish is inspired by the powder blue carriage the students arrive in during the Triwizard Tournament, their delicate blue uniforms, and the official crest of the academy. Beauxbatons Academy is a pale milky-with-a-hint-of-blue with white squares, two different shades of blue, matte yellow and iridescent glitter.

If you're interested, check out Lac Attack here and their Facebook as well.

:) until next time!

Swatch: Fanchromatic Nails - Direwolf

Hello!

Any of you ASOIAF enthusiast like me? If you don't know what that is, you've probably heard the more famous series based on it that HBO had picked up, Game of Thrones. I am personally a sucker of epic fantasy series, especially the ones that are a bit gory (don't judge) .. so when I've heard about the show I immediately knew I'd be all over it.

Now, if my last post I've mentioned about my long term admiration obsession for Jason Momoa , ever since Junior High (13 years and going strong YAY!!!) and I swear to you, I had no idea he would be in this series...so imagine my face when I watched the Pilot episode and saw this,
HOT. DAMN.

To sum up, he was "Khal Drogo", a bad-ass warlord of Dothraki people, who are pretty much a race of warlike nomads and love to travel in hordes, do barbaric stuffs like raping women, beheading enemies and value their horses more than anything. He was their leader because he kicked so much asses and had this uber long hair because.
... yep.

So, as you would have guessed, I LOVE this show so much albeit the future existence of Jason Momoa, because the story is just simply amazing. Also if you haven't seen any of it and decide to do so, I'd suggest buying the Blu Ray because the commentary is SO DAMN WORTH IT!

Anyway, the nail polish I'm about to show you has nothing to do with Khal Drogo (I know, right?! What a waste of time...lol) but it's related to a beloved family up in the North who are fathered by Sean Bean (YES, he dies in this one too...spoiler alert!) called House of Stark. They're like this slightly dysfunctional family (only because the bastard son lives with them, and the mother hates his guts although she's relatively kind and mother-like) and I said "slightly" because although they possess such tragic fate, they're much better than other families...trust me. Their house sigil is Direwolf, an extinct gene of wolves which is pretty much like your regular gray wolves only much bigger and scarier.
...... I know. Look at this terrifying creature. Run for your life.
This nail polish is by Fanchromatic Nails on Etsy, called "Direwolf". A warm taupe polish with white, brown, black, and copper glitters.

Without further ado, the swatches!!!
Mattified with Essie Matte About You
It reminds me of kitchen countertop's granite :)
Now, unfortunately Fanchromatic Nails is closed at the moment due to the owner's health problem, but they should be open soon, so if you're interested go check them out on Etsy or Facebook for info and sales.

Btw the new season of Game of Thrones starts this Sunday on HBO and although I don't have HBO I'll be excitedly waiting and downloading it illegally. Shhh.
