Classy Minerals & Melaleuca Goodies

I received a surprise package from Trisha (Classy Minerals) today, along with Melaleuca products I ordered a while ago before my trip.

Classy Minerals

package

I'm quite surprised when Trisha mailed me to ask if I would love to try her new stuffs, I thought she forgot about me LOL (I haven't talked to her for a while)

What I got:

  • Under Eye Cream
  • Miracle in a Bottle
  • Wild Oats & Honey Masque
  • Bisque Creamy Concealer
  • Silk Underwear
  • Angel Wings Lip Glaze
  • AHA Toner (the long tube)
Classy

I'm trying on Angel Wings Lip Glaze:
Angel Lip Glaze

The color is an opaque gold, it's very creamy & moisturizing. Love the sheen, but as you guys can see, there's hardly any color showed up on my lips hehe, it's still very pretty tho : )

Melaleuca Wellness

First time I heard "Melaleuca" I was like "hmm..that sounds familiar", and it turns out Melaleuca is a botanical name of Tea Tree!

Last month, me & my bf met his mom's friends whose son had a severe asthma. When we asked about his condition, she said "Oh no, we never have to deal with his asthma anymore" We were really surprised because we've always heard about that poor kid going in & out hospital for treatments. One time I even heard he was 'this' close to losing his life *shrug* His asthma was that bad.

The mom told us her story on how she finally figured every thing's out. She is a clean freak. She cleans her house every single day, sometimes twice a day, using the commercial products like Tide, Pine sol etc and it turns out her son is allergic to them, thanx to the harsh toxic ingredients they put in commercial products. Throughout those years she had no clue what caused his son's illness and searched for every explanation out there but never imagine it was her cleaning products.

She was introduced by one of her friend to try Melaleuca products, first thing of course she said "Nah, we've tried everything. Nothing works, I think I'll pass" but her friends insisted and gave her a free sample of Melaleuca detergent. Lo & behold, after she started using it, her son's condition has gotten better. She converted right away and now his son NEVER have the asthma. It just went away. Weird huh?

So we got very intrigued by it and when check out the price, hey, it costs just as much as commercial products we buy on store! Being a environmental & health conscious, I think it's a good choice to optimize the usage of natural products in our daily life. We decided to join the membership, don't freak out, it's not like the scary money grabber scheme out there, Melaleuca's policy is very reasonable, we only paid $1 *that's right, one dollar* membership fee (we signed up during their 'special month' and they have it often), and the benefits we got such as 30-40% ongoing discounts for every products they have in store. The downfall maybe just the fact that we HAVE to buy something every month, but knowing that
Melaleuca has tons of products, from skin care, bath & body, vitamins, household cleaning products, it means there wouldn't be too hard to find something to stock up. hey, you're buying groceries every month anyway, right?

So these what we decided to start the healthier lifestyle
: )

Now I don't wanna make pre-judgement on these stuffs although I've heard so many great things about them. My bf's older sister is a natural product lover and when we informed her about Melaleuca she said "Oh yeah, that's the stuffs I've been using for my house!" T_T and she never told us ! hahaha

So no crazy shipping issues LOL

Classy Minerals: What's New !

Hi all,

I just wanted to make a quick update on Classy Minerals.
Couple days ago Trisha (the owner of Classy Minerals -the wholeseller for My Minerals Bath & Body or MMBB), e-mail me and asked if I would like to try her new products, for free.

.......

HELL YEAH I DO ! ^_^

so she asked me to list down what I would like to try from them (isn't she awesome?) but since I have no idea what to choose and slightly felt uncomfortable having to choose free stuffs *I mean, I'd feel like a spoil kid if I did*, I just told her what I have received so far and I do want to try the smooth primer again since I mistakenly threw away the half full sample container (duh!).

She shipped it out 3 days ago and today the package came!

Yup, they all free samples! She included:

1. Mineral Setting Sprays (New Formula!) She took out the Pineapple Hydrosol and reformulating this sprays, now it comes with Immortelle flower.
Those of you who's a GoW user must know how wonderful Immortelle for oily/acneic skin :)
2. Jojoba Creme Cleanser (for morning & evening cleanser)
3. Jojoba Exfoliating Facial Scrub (can use both morning & evening, but since it's a scrub I think it's better not to over-do it..should cut back to maybe twice or three times a week)
4. Acne Cleanser/Miracle in a Bottle (this one leaks out abit hehe -you can see from the pic-) but she wrapped all of the containers tightly with plastic so it didn't get messy
5. Honey & Wild Oats Masque (use twice a week, apply thin layer, leave for 5 mins, rinse well)
6. Smooth Face Primer (my only request heheh)

Too bad I can't still find the rest of the skin care items either in Classy Mineral's site or MMBB's, but Trisha said she will put it up pretty soon. I badly wanna try the masque ^_^ it smells yummy LOL

Ohhh how I love free goodies!

FOTD: Gold Bronze

Do you guys have any makeup kits/sets/palettes that costs you a fortune but you have no regret buying it? Mine would be Urban Decay Deluxe Palette I got from Sephora for $36.00. The palettes come with a small UDPP and 9 very pigmented and vibrant colors. I also love the texture of these eye shadows, it's very soft (softer than MAC, i.m.o) and you can pair & blend most of the colors in the palettes together. It's so versatile & you can get both bold or neutral look in one palette. Last night I decided to pair Honey which is a gorgeous gold with Underground, a shimmery dark taupe and used my NYX Walnut Bronze to deepen the crease. It comes out very natural yet rich (....rich?? hahaha yeah you know what I mean)

FOTD: Spring Greens

Last night we FINALLY went to Senor Frogs club in Waikiki, and I decided to try some of pigments I've had. After I finished doing my eyes, I was like "wait.....it looks similar to my last FoTD LOL" but of course, I used different stuffs. This time I decided to use some of my NYXs greens and Swim with the Fishes from She Space, I love the combination although in this coming pics the colors seem to fade just a little bit (I took pics when I got home) so bare with me, I look slightly tired & crazy LMAO.

I got my halter top from Ross which is a store that sells some branded clothing with crazy deals..this green halter is from XOXO, the original price was $44.00 but I got this for $8.99 :D
I like it alot, it reminds me of Cleopatra somehow. LOL...

TMM Swatches & Updates

Ohhh I'm so tired right now, been sleeping super duper late (read: 5 AM) for the last 3 days..today I woke up at 1 PM, furious, and hungry LOL

I've been hanging out with the boys and they are DEFINITELY bunches of night owls...so here I am adjusting with their schedule and having hard times keeping up with the rest of the world LMAO

I am also noticing some 'purging' reaction going on in my skin, my forehead is breaking out with small white bumps and there's this big red pimples on my left cheek, with one or two other zits around it and on my chin. I don't know if it's a reaction from my natural skincare I've tried so far or I am allergic to something. Apart from my new skincare routine, the only thing I could think of that can cause my forehead breakouts is my new Herbal Essence Long Term Relationships lines, I checked the ingredients coz some girls in Garden of Wisdom forum were telling me about SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) which is known to be the source of such reaction, weirdly enough I didn't find it on my Herbal Essence's shampoo ingredients. I found a 'Raspberry Juice' in it tho...do you think it's possible I could be allergic to that? Instead of SLS I found Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate which is believed to be less harmful than SLS. *shrug*

I'm so confused, I was thinking of switching back to my John Frieda Brilliant Brunette or Garnier Fructis as back then when I was using them my forehead seemed to be fine, but I was really surprised when I found out that SLS are in BOTH of John Frieda's & Garnier's ... so If I wasn't allergic to SLS, what could possibly cause it?

Am I just in the 'purging' period? How long does it normally take, anyone knows?
I also have been naughty, drinking coffees and eating lots of desserts,

Do you guys notice STRESSED is DESSERTS spelled backwards?

LOL so random

Anyway, today I got my last order from Taylor Made Minerals which I ALMOST forgot about, I had to go back to their site to see what I actually purchased hehehe.

I only ordered 4 sample baggies, 3 of them are eye pigments and 1 bronzer:

Marsh

Anther

Iris

Kalahari (bronzer)

and my old TMM which I've never swatched yet,

Envy
Coral

Throne

Crook
The Swatches:
All were foiled with Mixing Medium, sorry for the messed up Throne swatches, my brush was way too wet. All of the pigments are shimmery except for Iris, Throne & Crook (which are harder to foil, idk why..the texture is more grainy imo)

I am pretty satisfied with the color payoffs, especially the green colors :D and I can't say it enough that TMM samples are A-LOT, I have the Throne & Crook in full jars and I swear I could use it for the entire neighborhood and it's still full heheheh.

Yesterday we played 'tourist' and hung out in Waikiki beach, I spent most of the day sunbathing & taking pictures LOL. Later that night we wanted to hit Senor Frogs club in Waikiki but then we remembered it was Monday nights and we had a feeling it'd be a graveyard over there. I got to try out my new Classy minerals setting spray after I put everything on, but the spray is more like a 'squirt' out, so my face was dripping wet from it *I should try it again, maybe further away from my face*

Face:
MAC Prep+Prime
Classy Minerals Tan liquid foundation
EDM Spring concealer
Classy Minerals Mineral Setting Spray

Cheek:
Classy Minerals Brick blush

Eyes:
Wet'n'Wild Dark Brown eyebrow liner pencil
Revlon liquid eyeliner

Lips:
Chapstick
NYX Cocoa
NYX Natural
NYX Barbie Pink (dotted lightly & blended)

My Blue Ranger jumpsuit LOL
Waikiki
Got balls?
And yeah, since everyone seem to be Taaz'd lately, I decided to try it out and created another 'me'. My bf doesn't like it tho, he said I looked 10 years older LOL What do you guys think?

She Space Green look

Finally I've got a chance to try out my she space pigments :D So since Christiana has stressed how much FOILING is important for mineral pigments and I, too, have a very oily lids, I decided to foil my pigments and used UDPP as a base. I wanted to use my Moss Scape paint pot but I was in a hurry so I didn't wanna wait too long for everything to get dry (yeh, I'm very impatient LOL)

Today Aaron's best friend from grade school, Giuseppe, came down from the mainland and we promised him to meet up at Mai Tai's bar so I was trying up my Classy Mineral foundations as well :D yay trying out my new goodies !!! hehehehe

Face:
Classy Minerals Face Primer

ok, last one...I promise !

I like how the foundation turns out, and it doesn't feel heavy AT ALL. I tried to apply it damp since it has the liquid binder in it, and I was surprised on how light a liquid foundation feels ^_^ I'm gonna order a full size soon ! Yay !

Today's Haul Day !!!

Yessssssss the rest of my online shopping order came today *jumpin around* :D

These are the goodies

Joppa Minerals
I took advantage from their Free Shipping sale a while back, and combined it with the 10% discount which is still going on now, and ordered 4 blushes sample and 3 pc. foundation samples. The rest are free sample from Joppa ;D

E.L.F
I decided to chose these empty palettes over MAC ones, since I got a $5.00 off from E.L.F, these palettes only cost $1.00 each, as well as the curler, so basically for these goodies, I only paid for shipping hehehe I heard their Mechanical Eyelash Curler is awesome, so I gave it a try...hey, it's for free so y not?

Soapalaya Soap
I ordered their Gentle Facial Cleanser & Scrub for Oily and Blemish Prone Skin, this is only a sample size, Alex, the owner sold for $2.00. She gave me a Lavender & Lilac sample soap which smells great, I dunno if you can see from the picture but the soap has some hot pink dots in it :D so cute!

Ebay
Isn't she pretty??? The iron, not the girl LOL From the description it says you can also create a soft curl (I think I've seen some videos on youtube, making curls with flat iron) they gave me a free small bottle of Chi Silk Infusion. I bought this for $10.99 including shipping :D

Swatches for Joppa samples:

I dunno, I like everything here mwahah Dewdrop probably can be used for highlighting my cheekbones. Makayla and Bahama Bronzer seem to have more sparkle, but not too 'disco ball' like.

Medium Tan seems to be pretty orange, and Medium #2 is kinda ashy...I need a face test for these, hopefully either of them will match me ^_^

I also decided to swatch blushes from Classy Minerals
Brick looks like an orangey version of my EDM Sunday Brunch, Russett and Kissed will be great for everyday blushes since I have a feeling it wouldn't be showing up as vibrant on my cheek.

Can't wait to try them all *big grin*
