Haul of The Day: Indonesian Brand Lipsticks

This would be my last post from Indonesia as I'm leaving tomorrow, going back to Oahu land. I've had so much fun at home, really sad to leave my family again but I know I'm gonna see them again one day so that thought should tide me over. Anyway, to keep this blog to be makeup-related, I'd like to share some of good find.

I was with my mom, out shopping and I saw these lipsticks galore at one counter. When I found out they're all Indonesian brands so I thought, hey why don't I give them a try? They're fairly cheap ($2-$3) and the color selection was pretty decent. So out of several brands, I picked out 3 lipsticks from different brands.

The box is pretty cute ♥

Swatches

Wardah (Glazing Plum) is a Hydro Gloss, so although it's bright in the tube, it goes on pretty sheer on lips. It also contains mineral oils (goes on very smooth) which helps chapped/dry lips.

Pureglow (Majesty Brown) is more concentrated & goes on smoothly. I like this color because it gives the MLBB color. The finish is fairly creamy.

Another one I picked up is a brand called Aubeau. I have this illness of picking the same color over & over again so please bare with my boring color choice here =)

I really like how they have "Aubeau" printed in the tube

The color called Light Beige and it has a matte finish, I really like the subtle coral color because it matches my skin tone pretty well.

That's all for now, I'm pretty happy with my find although I didn't really shop makeup too much. I'm trying to shop my own stash now, but if you missed my couple of last posts where I spot an interesting find of FAKE MAC, try click here. Will blog soon!!!!

If you read my last FOTD post, you must have noticed I've been wearing Pure Anada Mineral Foundation. I tested out this mineral company back in 2007 when I was just starting out with minerals. I found this Canada-based mineral company to be ethnic-friendly, meaning they have various shades and skin tones available to women with colors. Candace, the owner of Pure Anada is a total sweetheart. I was having problems finding my shade and she helped me through & through. I sent her my shade with other foundation via post and she mailed me back the exact shade of Pure Anada Mineral Foundation full size, to try out.

Unfortunately I was being too excited trying all different kinds of MMU and had forgotten about Pure Anada. Not until recently I fell in love again with the perfect shade & coverage I want, and my skin has been loving the finish and how it captures in picture.

My shade is "Niagara Fawn", an Olive undertone.

I wasn't paid doing this review but merely an excitement of finding a 'new' old love.

The Chicken Recipes (Non Makeup Related)

When people ask me, what's my favorite food...I would answer them "Chicken". You can joke about it but I seriously can not live without chicken, I love the eggs, skins, meats, even bones up to certain point. I enjoy cooking at home because I found it's more economical than having to dine out every time, plus it's such a stress reliever so I cook as much as I could. The only problem beings, is the idea. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks "Man, what more should I cook now?" once in a while.

I do have problems finding recipes & ideas to cook something nutritious, simple, and delicious. Being a chicken lover, I know there's probably 1324857963562 ways to cook them, but sometimes I just could not find the right source. When I was Googling "chicken, Worcestershire, wine" (those are the ingredients I had in my kitchen LOL) I found this cook ebooks which offers you more than 300 Chicken Recipes you could possibly think of. I saw the "Chicken A la Worcestershire Wine Sauce" in there too =)

This recipe ebooks offers all kinds of meal, from a simple Chicken Salad to Honey Spiced Cajun Chicken and the coolest thing about it is that only costs $14.95, for an unlimited sources of a mouthwatering recipes. If you decided to get it, you might want to scroll down to see some other package they offer besides chicken recipe ebook, , like this "Bonus Pack"contains of other recipes (Delicious Italian Dishes, Camping & Outdoor Recipes, The Big Book of Cookies, Cheesecake Recipes, Delicious Puddings, 500 Delicious Diabetes Recipes, etc). What caught my eye was the Starbucks Recipes eBooks. Yup, no need to squish in during rush hours to get your favorite lattes because you can make a one from home. This Starbucks eBooks you can get as a bonus, so you can get the 300 Chicken Recipes, the entire Bonus Pack & Starbucks Recipes eBooks for just $37. That's pretty awesome, so if you're a food lover who cooks, this is a pretty sweet deal because you can get simply every courses (from appetizer to dessert, including drinks) one click away.
