EG Minerals Surprise Haul

Today I received a surprise package, I know I am waiting for EG Minerals sample order but it's too soon as I just received shipping notice earlier today. When I saw the package label, it was EG Minerals but it's HUGE, and it's just too big for my MMU samples.

So I quickly opened and found various items in there and a hand-written note from Diane, saying these are items she put together for me to try, and she acknowledge that I did place an order separately which will arrive anytime soon. She also mentioned she meant to send these long time ago, but she waited until the Black Soap new batch was ready so she could include that one too.

I was floored on how generous this company is, and if you see what they sent me, you'd understand what I was talking about.

First, I noticed some glitters fall out around the packaging so I dig through trying to find some eye shadows and goodness me, I found 7 of them.

Look at those colors!!! I can marry Cascading Angels in a heart beat lol Artic Thaw would look so gorgeous for highlight. These are TOP QUALITY pigments, ladies..I swear it's so worth the money : )

Next I found these lovely sample for Acne Kit skin care:

All of them are under the Oily/Anti Acne Skin Care and these are the breakdown:

Zap zit
Botanical blend of proven acne fighters. Strong medicinal aroma but effective. Applied in small amounts directly on break outs have shown excellent results in clearing these problematic skin care issues.

Ingredients; Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Azadirachta Indica (Neem) Seed Oil

Anti Acne Moisturizing Serum
Excellent moisturizing serum for oily skin and acne prone skin. Light in texture but loaded with botanical agents with acne and oil fighting properties. Best used in conjunction with our Anti Acne Skin Care Kit.

Ingredients; Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Potassium Sorbate, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Benzoate.,Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Azadirachta Indica (Neem) Seed Oil

Anti Acne Facial Wash
Anti Acne and oily skin facial skin cleanser is made from our organic based Castile soap. To that we add proven botanical ingredients such as Tea Tree oil, Lemongrass, Rosemary, Lavender, and others to create a gentle yet effective cleanser. Optimal results will be seen when used with our Anti Acne skin care kit.

Next, she included these lovely soaps, pretty huge size for a trial.

Honey & Oatmeal Soap
Ingredients: Coconut oil, sodium cocoate, sodium palmitate, sodium laurate, sodium stearate, glycerin, sodium laureth sulfate, honey, propylene glycol, sucrose, triethanolamine, water.Fragrance, Mica

Black Soap
Black soap has many claims to it's list of benefits such as it helps relieve rashes, scalp irritations, softens rough skin, oily skin, dry skin, acne, blemishes and other skin problems. Black soap gives your face a deep cleansing, leaving it fresh and healthier. It also has been claimed to help with wrinkles and fine lines. Plantain, coco pod, shea and banana leaves, bark and skins are burned and made into a powder.
Water is then added to the ashes and then filtered. Oils such as shea butter, coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, and cocoa butter are added to this water to create the soap.

Last one is the Bath & Body products:

Unfortunately, I'm not too fond of these products, remember I had a bad experience with their Lemon Pound Cake Soap that smells so pledge like a wet towel? Now I found the same idea when I sniffed Italian Biscotti Shea Body Butter. I was excited coz the scent sounds great, but it was crushed when I opened the lid.

Doesn't it look..........clam chowder-y? lol

Seriously, it's so thin but not in a good way, and it smells so weird, I assumed it's the base so in case they read this, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR BASE !!! hehehe I'm just being honest...coz I really do like this company, but in order to make everything successful, they need to step up and find a better wholesaler for their body products, coz it's not that appealing whatsoever.

The other 2 is a sugar scrub & shea body butter in Seasons Best. The scents are: spice, pumpkin, brown sugar, vanilla and other autumn fruits. Hmmm, I have mixed feeling about this one, I like the scent, they're very spicey & fall type of scent, but I'm not liking the consistency:

The sugar scrub's oil is separated and although I don't mind mixing every time I shower, I just already get the idea how oily this scrub would be. It's just not my preference in scrub, I like it to be moisturizing, but not TOO moisturizing that I could slip in the bath tub & crack my head open.

The body butter also has a weird color, like some parts is whipped, some are spongey...I guess I just don't like their Shea base coz everything with shea looks ew.

Overall
So I am so pleased with EG Minerals CS, Diane is a total sweetheart for sending me these, but I'm not gonna lie and say I love everything. I adore their MMU stuffs but not their body products, skin care-wise, I might need more time to justify so I'll try them out and let you guys know.
