Product Focus: Wet n Wild Megalast Matte Lipstick

Can a girl have too many lipsticks?
Obviously not. Or at least my evil inner voice said so.

I am always a fan of Wet'n'Wild ever since they came out with this Color Icon line, and the pacesetter of this line is (in my humble opinion) their matte lipsticks. As much as I love my creme finish, there were days when I feel like wearing a totally matte lipstick. A non drying one, of course. Now, Wet'n'Wild give you not only the whole range of matte lippies called Wet'n'Wild Megalast Lipcolor Lipsticks, but also the insanely remarkable color payoff.

Sounds good to be true? Well, they also cost $2.99 per tube. BAM.

I managed to hoard buy some colors that appeal to me and would have a big chance to be used because you know, sometimes you go "OMG SUCH A PURDY COLOR!!!" when you look at a lipstick tube but you don't actually have the guts to wear the color. I know I have been there, done that.

So without further ado, here are the colors I have -for now- .

The only annoying thing is their packaging, actually the name was placed on the plastic wrapper so when you rip it open and get rid of it, the name's gone. Having said that, the numbers are available on the bottom of each tube so you can just Google them if you like.

Now the swatches...
 (outside)
 (inside)

I bought Pink Suga' thinking it would be a perfect nude for me, but it turns out to be way too scary. I actually think it could pass as a concealer, but I doubt it's a good idea lol. Bare It All on the other hand, is a perfect nude for me, it gives enough color to make my face look less washed out. Just Peachy is a nice peachy pink but I found out when I was really tan, this color made me look a little bit like Ganguro :P. In The Flesh is a lovely brownish pink (muted) and is the most office-friendly in my opinion. It's very "polite".

Mauve Outta Here was purchased solely on the name itself. It does look close to Smokin' Hot Pink, which is a gorgeous, gorgeous, hot pink...only with warmer undertone. Cherry Bomb is such a cool vampy color which I featured in my Holy Grail Red Lipstick post.

They're all available in your local drugstore and I actually heard they're coming out with a bunch of new colors. I'd say go check them out and let me know which one is your favorite color.

Toodles~
