Haul of The Day: Haus of Gloi

Yet another awesome order from Haus of Gloi. I was debating whether or not I should get one of their Yule special scents but after weeks of serious contemplation, I decided to pull the trigger.

As I mentioned in my last review on Haus of Gloi, this is a fairly young company runs by a young couple, Matt & Britton. Britton is the genius behind those gorgeous scents as she mixes her own fragrance and came up with such unique blend.

I was really intrigued by their design using printed out coffee paper & it does really feel like Britton puts her soul in her creations. That's what I call a true artist.

My 2nd order came in today and it is amazing. I caved in to get another Sugar Cream in Snow Wolf.

As she mentioned on her blog & store,

SNOW WOLF - Bristling and prowling, lonesome and haunting. Three howling firs, whitened frankincense, vanilla bean husk, tainted by droplets of blood cedar.
It was surely a huge leap for me moving on from the sweet & fruity treats to a woodsy complex scent, having such a picky nose I couldn't help but worrying whether or not I would like it. When I opened the jar, I was amazed by how pretty it looks, she has mixed in some Cranberry seeds in the white scrub. The most outstanding note is probably the white firs but it's still soft & pretty from the lovely Vanilla Bean blend. I have to say I like it, if I had to describe what Snow Wolf smells like, it's like what you would smell when you walk into a dark misty wood, think of Hogwart's Forbidden Forest. It's sort of "haunting", spicy but creamy at the same time.

I also ordered a sample of Sugar Creme in Troika:
TROIKA - A trinity of soft milk, almond, oat and coconut, lashed with sweet agave nectar and the ethereal scent of clean white.
It smells amazingly delicious, sweet & clean. I definitely picked up the creamy milk and almond, a faint coconut but they round up smelling very clean unlike sickeningly sweet a milk & coconut scent could be. It's so yummy.

As I mentioned, I am completely loving Haus of Gloi products with their gorgeous labels, you can see it yourself what I meant. The Snow Wolf scrub label has a cool picture of a man & a wild wolf... could it be Fenrir & Tyr? LOL don't ask me how I know those names, I'm such a dork!

She included 2 extras, a perfume oil in Vice & sample soap in Honey Tree. I love all her scents, it's not even funny =D
Vice - Steam billows rolling off a vessel of fresh made Turkish coffee, marshmallow goo tainted by graham cracker crumbs, toasted hazelnuts and blanketed in black chocolate.

Honey Tree - Right from the bee hive honey, amplified by seductive essence of vanilla, darkened by a passing waft of woody smoke.
So if you'd like to take your regular boring bath to another level, make a visit to Haus of Gloi or visit her blog and see if you find anything you like. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
